Sobre Toast POS
Toast es un software de POS (punto de venta, por sus siglas en inglés) que permite a los propietarios de negocios reducir los costos operativos, aumentar la eficiencia del personal y mejorar la experiencia del cliente. El software solo se puede emparejar con una tablet con Android y no ofrece asistencia para iPad en este momento. El software satisface las necesidades de varios puntos de venta en QSR (restaurantes de servicio rápido, por sus siglas en inglés), restaurantes de exquisita gastronomía, cafeterías, panaderías, cadenas de pizzerías y cervecerías y bares.
Toast POS ofrece funciones de gestión de menús, como configurar todo el menú con todos los grupos y subgrupos y personalizar los menús por separado para los públicos online y offline, además de agregar precios específicos para el menú según la hora, como menús de happy hour. El producto proporciona al restaurante una función para tomar pedidos sobre la marcha, enviar notificaciones automáticas al servidor cuando el pedido está listo y dividir los elementos de menús y facturas entre los clientes. La solución simplifica los pagos para los clientes y los propietarios de negocios al ofrecer características tales como "pagar en la mesa", dar propinas a los servidores directamente desde las tablets, enviar recibos por correo electrónico o imprimirlos a través de la integración con una impresora externa, además de la capacidad para convertir los pagos en puntos de fidelización canjeables en futuras visitas. El producto también realiza un seguimiento de las ventas del menú en tiempo real y proporciona a los usuarios informes detallados de la combinación de productos en todos los menús.
Toast POS funciona con un modelo de precios por suscripción basado en el software principal. Además ofrece módulos complementarios, como pedidos online, programas de fidelización y tarjetas de regalo físicas y digitales. El producto también ofrece hardware en paquete con una opción de precios de una sola vez. Overall, I'm thrilled we switched to Toast. It's simple to use, has made us more efficient, and wasn't as expensive as similar systems.

Compared to POS systems I've used in the past, Toast is a lifesaver! It has tremendously improved efficiency and flow of our Taproom. We now have the ability to swipe a card and store credit card information; which is a huge benefit for those of us in co-op spaces. Although they look bulky, their handhelds fit into your back pocket and allow us to close tabs out table side. They are shock and water resistant, plus you can log into more than one device at the same time so if you're working alone, you can close out multiple parties at once. As a GM, I'm grateful that Toast is not only cloud-based, but allows me to access the back end from my laptop or smart phone so I don't have to be onsite to make system changes. Updates are incredibly quick so there's not a ton of down time. There is also Toast Central, where you can troubleshoot issues yourself rather rather than immediately calling Support. They are helpful instructions with screenshots and videos.

Customer Support is hit or miss. I always get an answer, it's just a matter of when I get it. After hours and on weekends, I feel like their staffing is very limited which leads to delays in getting immediate help. Thankfully it's only happened once where I needed a quick answer and wasn't able to get it.

The main reason was functionality. TouchBistro required us to use card readers attached to iPads, but finding iPad protectors that would allow enough room for the card readers was extremely difficult. I also had to be onsite to make any changes to the back end which was extremely inconvenient.Software anterior

While it has a lot of features, we couldn't justify the cost versus the features we would actually be using. Since we don't have a kitchen in our Taproom, we didn't need the inventory and recipe features that make Aloha a standard in our industry.Respuesta de Toast

Really like toast. However, as we grow the cost is getting quite high to test and implement new functions. Almost to the point where I am considering having a program written specifically for our business. Still, toast is great.

I order product the messed up my order and charge me and have another the send me and charge me for the sand me label after three day sen the product back after milion call and email and no supervisor to talk and if you do he can Resolve anything and not get my credit back till after 28 days this is the most Ridiculous thing I ever hear you lost me as a customer and you'r not supporting Restarant business your there for take advantage of small business!!!!

Very versatile. Allows for easy use as all applications are tablet and app based. Easily accessible information and editing from smart phone, computer and other hardware.
Puntos en contra
Some service outages (credit card processing) and difficult programming on the back end. Some technical issues and support isn't always able to figure it out at the first level.

A one of the longest running TOAST users, almost 10 years, I love it because it's functional, easy to use and customize, if you know the program. If you don't have a TOAST expert on your internal team, it can be challenging as customer service is poor and they don't have operational experience that relates when you are trying to resolve an issue.

Ease of implementation, interface, and reporting. Very functional if you take the time to learn the system. TOAST central database has lots of e-learning and resources at your fingertips. Like how many integration partners there are.
Puntos en contra
Customer support is lacking. Phone support is painful, Follow up by assigned managers is one sided. Most companies are better of hiring TOAST independent contractors to set up and manage their systems. TOAST fees including credit card processing fees are very high. Lastly there has been a very big known and detrimental outages
