It's sometimes difficult to navigate. We were not given training on the software, so occasionally I have to fumble around to find the options I need to use

It’s easy to assign activities to students. Can easily search what you are looking for.

Some functions are for difficult for student to drag objects.

It is very easy for my students to upload their pictures, videos, recording etc.
As their teacher, I can see their work instantly to review and approve. Parents can also see their work. It is a great way for them to share their learning with us.

I wish it would notify me as soon as something is submitted by a student. If I forget to open the app, I do not know it is there, waiting for my approval.

This software made it very easy to communicate with teachers and to see what projects my kids are up to in school everyday.

The difficulty switching between accounts made it a little hard to use.

It’s easy to use, has an iPhone app that is easy and intuitive to navigate. Great for seeing the progress by my child in school - I can see photos, sometimes photo collages, and also videos of my child uploaded by the teachers. The teachers also upload their weekly curriculum so I know what they’ve been learning.

It’s not as feature rich and when I used this during lockdown to respond to home based learning assignments and tasks assigned to my child, there’s no function to sort and filter through the many tasks . There’s no search option either. The only option is to scroll and look for the tasks and rely on memory on what the teacher uploaded. If a task had several subtasks, it was not always easy or possible to edit the previously submitted task so I end up creating a new task and the teacher has to figure out that it’s part 2 or part 3 of one assignment. There’s also no schedule functionality so that we can see the class timetable easily.

Seesaw is one of the best products I have used as an educator. I started using it with in person learning and it was such a great asset. Once we went to distance learning, it made the transition so much easier. I am able to give directions and assign different assignments. The students can complete the assignment, turn it in and I can respond to them individually. I can also share student presentations with the rest of the class, and they can leave positive comments. I am able to share and communicate with families. It is an excellent product!

I wish I would have started using it earlier in my career.

This app seems good for a 1st time user. This was the 1st classroom software I had used with my kids. Overall it is pretty user friendly. I like the notifications from teachers.

App doesn't allow me to upload longer videos (over 1 minute), had a hard time with some permissions with the IT support at my son's school. I could not initiate a private message to a provider. They had to start a message and I could respond to it. The IT professional at the school is still trying to fix this.

Seesaw is relatively easy to use. I like how I receive alerts whenever teachers or my children post new content. I also like that I can interact via comments and video responses (or regular email-style messaging). Users can be connected to multiple classrooms and students, which makes setting connected easy.

The photos that get posted sometimes look a little clunky. Sometimes it seems like the software isn’t very compatible with phones.

I use this app to share pictures and track progress of my students with their parents. They can comment on their child's work or pictures. They can also send private messages to me.

I use this app for certain features, but a different app to send out reminders to all parents at once. It would be nice to only use one app.

I love the staff can share photos, messages and timely communication on this platform and receive timely notifications and app alerts. Helps with conversations with my children about their day to know what they ate, what projects they are working on etc.

Nothing really - overall great platform to get a snapshot inside the classroom.

We use this for virtual learning resource! It is really user friendly for both the teacher and student. Parents can also figure it out well. It is good for young students to access materials and is very organized without clutter materials.

Nothing, I think the software is great!

I love how Seesaw helps teachers and students to keep track of their school work in a very convenient way.

It does seem to be a little too complicated for older teachers to use and I wish they had trial videos on how to use this software.

sometimes it is hard to find certain settings and I want to be able to send an announcement to specific parents but not necessarily every parent

The ease of seeing what assignments my kids needed to complete was of very high importance. It was so easy my pre-schooler could figure it out. Being able to complete them in the app and even send messages to the teachers was flawless.

Perhaps maybe being able to categorize assignments. Like "Science" , "For fun", "Reading"...etc.

This app is a great way to connect with Teachers/Families. Teachers can post assignments, pictures and updates. This app makes it easy to go to one location to view all your students information

My only hang up is when a link is posted it is very small so you have to know to look for it. For younger kids it can be a bit confusing

I love how students can take everything they have [SENSITIVE CONTENT] in a lesson and respond to a prompt with a video. This directly relates to our speaking standards, and kids love it! I can also share their video presentations with their parents or the principal!

I wish there was a larger database of premade assignments.

Due to having to teach virtually, using Seesaw is great to use. I like that I can give students different options to use to share responses.

At the moment, I do not have any cons about this software. I've been able to do what I want it to do and the students seem to be able to use it easily even during virtual learning.
