Me gustó por que es sencillo en el uso y muestra buenos resultados

Posee buenas herramientas, aunque siempre es bueno ir mejorandolos.

Las caracterísitcas de los resultados obtenidos luego del análisis de los datos es de gran confiabilidad y calidad para la presentación en investigaciones.

Presenta dificultad al usarse por primera vez, reconociendo los diferentes herramientas y espacios del software.

Su facilida para el manejo e itnerpetaciónd e grandes cantidades de datos. La elaboración de gráficos y contenidos para muestra de resultados con confiabilidad científica.

La demora en procesamiento que consume y requiere gran cantidad de recursos del sistema,exigiendo que el equipo en el que se lo usa deba tener caracterisitcas de alta calidad para el procesamiento de datos.

Las funciones de programación para limpieza de datos y conversión de software con muy precisas y me brindan la seguridad que requiero, además al crear una nueva base de datos es mas rápido y eficiente.

fue un poco complejo el desarrollo de la programacion de base de datos.

lo he utilizado para hacer análisis estadísticos de datos, incluye formas de analizar y cruzar la información muy completas y creo que es casi único en su tipo y el más profesional

he utilizado la versión gratuita, hace un tiempo, y me ha servido, aunque me costó utilizarla y entender la lógica del programa

SPSS has been around for a very long time, so it's what a whole lot of researchers are most comfortable using, including usually myself, in spite of my criticism of it. It has most of the statistical tests that one needs for my area of research. Things usually work and the GUI interface is accessible to people. But there is also a script output, so one doesn't need to waste time pointing and clicking constantly. These are great features.

SPSS has been slow to adopt Bayesian testing and I hear that aspect still needs a lot of work. The outputs for any tests are typically quite difficult to read. The visualizations are quite poor / unattractive and not particularly easy to customize. I never publish SPSS-made graphs. Every person I know will use another software program to make data visualizations. SPSS costs money, and there are other open source options out there that are just as good or better. R has been open source for quite some time and has better and more customizable visualizations. It doesn't have a GUI interface, which is a pro of SPSS. But then there are programs like JASP that have GUI interfaces AND Bayesian functions AND scripting and they're free. So it's hard to justify SPSS.

As a student of the social sciences, I was expected to conduct research and calculate appropriate statistics in order to draw accurate conclusions. I became overwhelmed by the complex nature of these calculations. I was relieved to discover that, in the real world, I was not expected to calculate t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square (and countless others) manually. I remember having several aha moments during my Data Analysis course as we were taught the software step-by-step. This software has since become a mainstay in my personal and professional life. I once used it to analyze upwards of 300 questionnaires and was blown away at how easily and quickly I was able to compare the data. There were 6 demographic questions and I was able to breakdown responses based on each classification. It offers a wealth of statistical capabilities at the touch of a button.

It is intimidating at first. It is also rather expensive.

It has a simple and uncomplicated platform when learning to use it. It handles terms that were handled at my university and data can be exported from Excel.

Visually it leaves a lot to be desired, as in its graphics and its graphics edits are very slow. It should be more compatible with Micrsoft programs.

I used SPSS to conduct my masters research into federal employee retention of millennials. The program was able to handle data points from all 15 federal agencies over 10 years along with 20 plus other data factors. SPSS made it easy to organize the data and execute stat checks on the research.

There were times where I had to consult an SPSS research guide in order to execute certain formulas. SPSS is a vast program but it can be a little daunting when you first start out.

After learning the basics of the software it becomes intuitive to use, if you use their guide you can make it through the steps to perform any basic task. It had multiple functions that were very useful for most sorts of statistical analysis that are required in quantitative research.

There should be a quicker way to change the types of variables of multiple variables in use, and the graphs should be easier to customize.

I have used quite a few statistical softwares that include SPSS, SAS, R. SPSS was very useful for the climate data that I was working with. I felt it was easier than SAS as SAS involved a lot of coding

It did take some time to get accustomed with SPSS but that would be true for most softwares out there

It is very easy to use unlike other applications. It is very specialized in its category and you do not need much time to understand how it works.

More ideas might be required to reflect dashboards as a result of the analysis. More diagrams maybe needs to be added to the application.

I like how easy I can collect my experiment datas and show a quick results of it.

It is such a complicated application I think it need more information about the skills that the app contains.

It has so many options to do a statistical test

A trial version of 30-50 days should be there so that people can have some hands on experience on this tool

Anyone who deals with statistics and data analysis cannot get around SPSS. Even newcomers can quickly get to grips with SPSS after a short familiarization period thanks to the graphical and guided interface. Data sets are quickly read in. The scope of SPSS really leaves hardly anything to be desired. A program for "home use", but also for professional and complex data analysis.

Unfortunately, SPSS can only be purchased through a monthly or annual payment plan. A single user license is unfortunately not available. For a non-profit organization or student needs it is very expensive. If the university does not have a license, one will have to resort to cheaper, opensource alternatives (like R).

It is very important for every researcher. Research is not possible without it.

Single mistake in the data does not make it run properly
