I got very good technology support when I have question

The user interface is not beautiful enough

What we liked most about Vevox here at the college is its ease of use. The menu for both the user and admin is very simple and well thought out, allowing for effective use without extensive training.

What we least liked about the software is its lack of socil media use.

I like the way it integrates well into other products but mainly how clean and easy to use the platform is.

Nothing, I like all the options and uses availble.

The live polling feature is by far the best, you can engage with your audience with no disruption over your powerpoint. This software is user friendly and more direct.

This software comes with everything that is needed and I don't think there are any cons as of yet.

Ease of use was our initial key criteria, for both staff and students. Vevox initially had a fairly limited feature set but it included the key polling types and a good Q&A feature, and also had a good PowerPoint add-in which helped our institutional transition from the previous system (Turning Point). Vevox continue to actively engage with their customer base to develop new features, and now has a really good range of question types - while still retaining that ease of use which attracted us in the first place. all other aspects of the system also continue to be developed - for example the admin dashboard is now a thing of beauty, and the web-based Present View is truly excellent.

The PowerPoint add-in is not reliable on our specific institutional classroom computers. Reasons include the software being virtualised, incompatibilities with our lecture capture system, and (often) user error. Its much smoother if you just plug in your laptop with it fully installed and ready to go, but even then it doesn't/can't support the newer question types. I understand a new plug-in is in beta which will hopefully overcome all of these issues.

Vevox is very easy to use and set up. It has a simple back end that can be adapted quickly and branded to the event colours and requirements. The voting and polling offers a great selection of features including the creation of word clouds which our clients love. The Q&A section is very user friendly also and allows high levels of engagement.
It is also very simple from a user perspective and as it can be web based it avoids delegates having to download an app to their devices (which they are often reluctant to do).
It is also very affordable compared to many other solutions on the market, allowing clients budgets to be met easily and for interactivity to be provided on even small scale events.

We have had a couple of recommendations for Vevox over our working relationship, the most important of which was the function for delegates to 'like' questions and for these to then jump to the top of the list so the moderators could see which questions were of the most importance to the audience. This feature has now been incorporated which is great for our clients.
The app does not provide a full conference app solution so speakers and interactive programmes can not be included. This may be a negative to some companies but we feel it's simplicity is an advantage as it avoids any confusion and allows for high levels of usability. We find full conference apps are less of a requirement for our clients.

Vevox can be integrated in the classroom easily and effectively. Actually, for several previous sessions with students, I did the revision of the previous lectures orally, asking the audience some questions, and then I realised that just asking the whole group does not allow each and every student (a) focus on the question, (b) answer the question, thus, be individually responsible for the result. It also allowed for (c) self-criticism and self-evaluation , it questions like "I am absolutely sure that I understand travel motivation theories...", with five different option to choose from, revealing what is yet not understood. Therefore, I used it rather for revision and self-evaluation, because we did it in a classroom and then discussed briefly all points, and not for testing as it is. We call it formative assessment, too, and this is one of many ways to do formative assessment, to cover some bulk of material within some classroom time period.

I found it not very comfortable to minimize my screen, which I was sharing, to start each next poll (question). I would expect the poll of 16 questions to work one by one to make it possible for each student to work on their own pace. It is better for individual work, or real testing, and can be also useful for the classroom activity I had yesterday.

Vevox helps us create some active content in online courses that can be sometimes a little dry. It helps assess delegate participation and understanding. It also allows Trainers to see if someone is not quite fully understanding an aspect of the course but without any embarrassment from the attending delegates as it is all anonymous.

It can still be somewhat "erratic" and doesn't always decide to play ball. The trainers who use it are now used to ad-libbing when Vevox doesn't play ball but it wold be good if we could rely on it 100%.

I love the fact that Vevox does in one application what it takes a number of other applications to do. Previously I used a number of applications together with MS PowerPoint to present on a subject, toggle to another application, get audience feedback to gauge understanding, and then toggle back to PowerPoint. It was messy. Vevox does it all in one - it integrates seamlessly with MS PowerPoint - there is no need to open multiple applications. Presentations are much smoother and engaging.

There isn't anything I don't like. There are lots of other features that help engage the audience. I have no complaints.

The software functions well, and is easy to use. [sensitive content hidden] is the reason we continuned using Vevox in 2023, and beyond. She is incredible.

Having to download the powerpoint plugin on each individual computer to use those features. It would be better if this was stored in the presentation file itself, since the device used to make presentations and give presentations are rarely the same.

Vevox is a game-changer when it comes to engaging your audience either face-to-face or remotely. It is easy to use and customise and ensures your audience is engaged and involved right from the start of any session or event. Anonymous with Q&A breaks down the barriers and builds trust with the audience who can see their questions on the screen and can vote on other questions. The polling features are great at getting people involved and judging feelings on important issues.

There's nothing to dislike. Easy to use and intuitive.

Vevox gives our employees a voice. Most importantly, they can give anonymous feedback that can be addressed in large meetings.

I would really appreciate it if Vevox could be integrated within Teams. It is highly frustrating having to share my screen on these large meetings and once in this Vevox screen, being unable to see on Teams if people are asking questions or raising hands without constantly having to flick between screens. The poll function for administrators could be a lot clearer. I find it hard to see if I have run the poll correctly for the audience and then stop the poll to then reveal the answers - it's all controlled at the bottom of the Vevox screen and just not very clear.

indeed all is a very smooth process, especially the part where you can use the data into PPT, great for last minute presentations, save out a lot of time

Vevox has helped to provide engaging spaces for our learners both face to face and online. It helped transition the online Zoom chat into the classroom space and give academics the chance to challenge and engage their students.

While in development, the fact that Mac users and Office 365 users could not use Vevox was annoying. However, this feature is in the works and will help include all staff within our licence.
