We use Slido for various conferences (the audience can post questions for the speakers) and at work for company-wide meetings. It's easy to set up and use, both for admins and for the audience. The audience can post questions anonymously, which might be easier for some sensitive topics.

If you need Moderation, it's quite expensive, but if you're a non-profit organisation, you can apply for a discount.

Difficult to get approved by Cyber Security folks through university. Please be more aggressive in providing security assurances to higher ed institutions to make it easier for employees to try and implement software. Also would like question limit on free plan to be a little higher, even if on a trial period basis. Would like to have a free trial period of some of the premium features.

After my initial trial, I couldn't see myself teaching without it. Luckily, I persuaded our head of school to introduce Slido to all our teachers. The feedback? Overwhelmingly positive! Slido was fair enough to refund my personal purchase after my school got the corporate subscription for everyone.While every tool has room for growth, Slido has genuinely become an important part of my teaching toolkit.

Users require some time to familiarize themselves with separating answers from various sections, especially if they intend to use a slide set multiple times. Currently, I'm unsure how to integrate the student roster into the participant list. In each session, my students must replace the anonymous participants with their names and student IDs.

I have used several of the features for polling or inducing direct audience participant with the Q&A tool.
My participants are frequently technology resistant but using Sli.do has caused absolutely no problem !
Simply amazing!

My supervisor wanted me to try out Poll Everywhere since Slido has been used (in a more limited way) in some of our agency meetings before. I gave Poll Everywhere a shot but everything about it was a little harder to figure out and I wasn't sure where I was headed, whether the presentation would ultimately meet my basic requirements. As soon as switched over to Slido, it was smooth sailing.

I was most impressed with the fact that I didn't need to learn much about the mechanics of the Slido features. In most situations, I want to, but in a jam - having to throw together an interactive quiz show for 20 tables of 6 - it was a great relief that everything was at my fingertips and simply worked.

I expect that at some point I'll try to do just the thing that Slido can't handle, but so the Slido team is leaps and bounds ahead of me in thinking up new ways to engage groups in learning, competition and fun.

The only stumbling block I hit was thinking that I would be limited to 3 quiz questions in the Free version because that version limits the number of polls per event to three. When I realized I had confused the two, angel choirs sang (we were down to 90 minutes before departure for the event venue).

I've always had an excellent experience with Slido and I've been using is as a speaker, session participant and event organiser for 4-5 years. The system is solid and really flexible.

I like how simple Slido is to use (one URL + one hashtag, or scan a QR code > instantly usable on any browser). I also like how many options it has (quite a few but not overwhelming) and the way it can help instantly visualise data. It can be a simple tool to receive questions but can also facilitate instant data analysis.

I think Slido gets it just right when it comes to usability. I would like to see some updates on the look and feel, and I think one or two more visualisation options would be welcome.

I like the ease with which it took to master it. It's intuitive and in an Online Training session it's quick to launch and get feedback. It doesn't intimidate first time users. I also like the analytics and post event feedback.

Slido is a favorite tool for all of my meetings. It is easy to make meetings more fun and interactive with Slido. I prefer Slido because it's simple to use. Its integration with Powerpoint makes it a go-to choice for me.

Slido's best features are the polls and online Q&A. It is really easy to integrate with PPT. Slido's polls are so simple to use that I use them to hold polls in my team even when there isn't a meeting. The audience can vote for questions to appear on the list, reducing duplicate questions.

I use Slido as a sidekick to my presentation software such as Google Slides. It's easy to add the Slido plugin to Slides, and share the QR code with the participants of my event. Audiences love being engaged during a workshop or training session, so Slido does exactly that, it provides and opportunity for them to interact with the content and the presenter by asking questions, participating in polls or sharing their ideas. Typical use cases for Slido in my work: 1. Workshop or training session 2. Pitch session 3. Expert speech session/talk

Engaging my audience is always a challenge. Slido allows me to get participation without asking them to standup and speakout in a crowd. They become considerably more interested with where I am going with my discussions.

I started using slido 2 years ago. I do 3-4 conference talks each year. I have also tried many ways to better engage my audience and bring them into the talk. At that time I was required to use my smartphone to activate each poll of which I use 3 during the class. A couple of weeks ago I was setting it up to use again and this time I discovered the power point integration. When I set it u, which was pretty easy, I was able to use the ppt slides and when I got to a slide for the poll, it pops up automatically and immediately activates the desired poll. And this conference was virtual so I was able to use it sharing my screen on Zoom and people across the country participated in the 3 polls I had.

We use Slido in large all group meetings with executives. Normally after a presentation based on the state of the company or a project, we will bring Slido up and allow participants to ask questions. Sometimes those questions are painful or difficult and participants would be hesitant to ask those questions would it not be for Slido. Slido allows us to have open communication without the fear of retribution for bringing up the tough topics.

Have you tried using Labels feature to group questions that have a common theme? It might not fit your use-case entirely but could be useful to an extent. This article might be help you - https://community.sli.do/audience-q-a-42/label-audience-questions-517

Additionally, there is a new feature that informs participants if they're typing a question that is similar to any that already exists. It's useful to avoid duplicate questions and you can turn it on in settings 'Slido Labs' tab.

I have been using Slido to create polls during meetings to keep the audience involved and have been also using it in conferences to open the floor for questions. It has been a very good experience and certainly it is creating value for me.

Slido is one of the widely used application for creating engagements across. It acts as a ice breaker between the meetings and also serves as a tool to drive engagement across any organisation. One of my best feature for Slido is it's points table update after every question which shows how have people faired after every question. Also, it tells you who is just ahead of you which I think is also a nice feature as it keeps you competitive.

Perhaps one of the things where slide can be made better is it's use with applications like Sametime, symphony, etc.

Overall I had a great experience. I am toward the end of my classroom work and so I won’t need this as much but I found this to be a very helpful tool in keeping the audience engaged rather than using a generic PowerPoint in which you can only get so far. Overall 10/10 recommend if your looking for something that gives your presentations a little extra flair to keep your audiences attention and allows them to participate.

Overall I found this to be a really helpful company in helping to engage the audience with real time polling and answers. I felt like it kept the class engaged throughout the presentation. The ease of use was a huge advantage for time sake. I also liked that we were able to attach it through our google slides with no issues.

Sli.do was used by our [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and I decided to use it for my training as well. I've never used it before, but in about 20 minutes I could use and try it. Before the sharp use, I tried it out on my own device and then deleted the results, so I knew what I was getting into. In addition, in the first e-mail I received tips on how to make the first icebreak question, for example.

Not software, but I am the one who determines the pace, how long the question will be answerable, when it will be possible to vote and when not. While using, I was the master of my own time and I determined the whole course, it suited me.

I missed the opportunity to find out names. This is only for the quiz, but I would appreciate it in general for the whole questionnaire.

I used some of te slido features to deliver training. The word cloud feature is very nice, as well as the surveys and quizes throughout the presentation. It helps with keeping the audience engaged. I tried before using a different software and I had a lot of restrictions (maximum 2 slides, etc.). It's also very easy to use in a training environment, as you can turn questions on and off throughout the training, and they show up on the participants phones as they are turned on.

We have used Sli.do for audience polling and QA sessions at two consecutive Eventex conferences, and I'd have to say we are very pleased with the results.
The audience is actively engaged and whereas in usual QA sessions some might feel embarrassed or shy to participate, with Slido, they are very comfortable asking the questions they want to have answered. Up-voting questions and crowdsourcing the most popular questions is also very useful, as in large events, like ours, it saves a lot of time, and attendees feel connected to the others, who share the same thoughts.
Perhaps where Slido are leaders, is the usability of their service. It's very simple for attendees to join the conversation through Twitter, through our event app, or through the Slido website.
If you want to increase engagement at your QA sessions, discussions or presentations, I would definitely recommend using Slido.

Not much. A small thing perhaps. If I use the Powerpoint integration and I must exit presentation mode to refer to another slide, when I re-enter presentation mode, it brings me automatically to the top of the presentation, not the slide selected. I think I've found a workaround.

We've had events where we've needed to set this up quickly, and people without experience have created an event within 5-10 minutes. End users love this way of interacting with speakers. It does it all elegantly and it just works. What more can you ask you ask for?

This software is easy to download & very user friendly! You can enter your name, ask questions, give answers, 'like' other participants answers etc. Very easy to use and have engagement throughout your meetings.

I'm not sure if there is anything to improve... perhaps the ability to withdraw an answer or question...?

In regards to your suggestion - you can actually edit or withdraw a question within 5 minutes after sending unless your question has already been approved and highlighted in Present mode.

Great for team building and personal use

We used the software for a team building exercise and it was so simple to set up and looked really professional. Everyone was able to use it even if they weren't 100% comfortable with technology. In the past I have also used slido for retros as part of my product team and again it's really simple and fun to use quick to set up every couple of weeks.

When we used the quiz function it was a little tricky to know whether everyone had completed the questions - there is a number at the top which tells you how many people have finished but not how much of the total number of people playing i.e. we had 11 people playing but ideally it would have told me 11/11 people have completed each question. Also having this be compatible with zoom would be great.

The feature I like most about this software is that once you give the code out to your audience, they input it in, and have access to the questions you want answers to anonymously.

What I least like about this software is that although most people have cell phones, there was one person who forgot their cellphone that day. However, that individual would not have changed the decision we ultimately made. The percentage of people were in favour of a decsision and one person would not have swekwed it - majority rule!

Great way to generate company concerns anonymously

Our company uses Sli.do for all employee meetings. We post topics that we would all like to discuss and then we vote the topic most important to us. You can post anonymously which I find helpful if you are hesitant to talk about a topic in front of your entire company. This product is very easy to use and navigate.

I work for a credit union and we were told that this site isn't 100% secure so we are instructed to not post any confidential information on it. It hasn't been a problem yet but I could see where in other companies this may be an issue.
