Overall, I'm extremely happy with the software. Its created efficiency within my business and has saved me a lot of money on part runs for items that we already had in inventory. I would highly recommend this software.

What I like most about the app is how simple it is to use and categorize product. As a small business owner, I was having a tough time trying to find an inventory program that fit out business needs. Once I found Sortly Pro, it streamlined our business and created efficiencies company wide.

The only negative I have experienced is with the lack of instant notifications. I wish it notified the administrator or owner when specific items are pulled from inventory. A suggestion would be to include this as an option when entering inventory into the system.

The software it’s self is good! Functional and easy to use.

After 1 year of using the software Sortly removed key features without notifying us, then required us to pay 4 times what we were paying prior to regain access to those features. I live in the customer support/service world, and the 2 days of emailing back and forth (because they will not provide a phone number to call) was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The app and it’s functionality. Ability to quickly see closing stock balances.

There are two features i’d like. 1) a return/reset to zero for all stock items. This would be easier to determine if stock has been updated or not than looking at the time stamp. 2) Ability to change measurement of stock item once it has been established. Currently i need to delete the item and recreate it with correct measurement.

Overall it works for us with tracking and sharing our MAIN product, which is federally regulated so it's the most important. We continue to use it, so obviously we are accustomed to it and invested the time to input our data so we will continue to use it as long as it remains affordable to our budget.

I love the ability to add tags to sort easily when looking up something for a customer request, the ability to track assets value, and creating as many folders and subfolders as needed. It's nice you can leave 0 quantity to restock without having to re-enter all the data for that item or recreate a barcode.

I don't like that you have to pay additional fees/higher plan in order to create simple custom reports. It would be nice if there was a plan for smaller mom & pop businesses like ours to utilize the software and all it's greatness without breaking the bank. If I had to pick one suggestion, it would be to have the ability to show the out of pocket value AND the sell price value...rather than having to choose one.

Sortly has helped my company save a lot of time when it comes to inventory management and being able to see with a few clicks what we do or don't have available.

Puntos a favor

Sortly has allowed us to know if we have enough inventory for upcoming events and can be updated if items are lost or damaged from previous events. It's also nice not having to physically count needed items before each event, and knowing even from off-site what we have available.

One feature that I wish could be implemented is the ability for one product to appear in multiple folders - if an item can be used for more than one purpose.

Wish the reporting was more advanced: ordering reports and use reports with more flexibility and receiving process to receive items against an order report and ability to move bulk received items from the report into inventory and items not received into a back order list with alerts if the item is on backorder and placed on an order

Sortly has made managing our inventory fun! There, I said it. All of our items in one place. Categorized in a way that makes sense to us. With photos so there is no confusion by only having product numbers that no one really knows. We see the value, the quantity, the item type, the variants, etc. all in one place. And, it's mobile! Our inventory used to be a guessing game before Sortly. Now, we always have confidence in what products are in stock.

Photos! With so many similar items, photos make differentiating products a breeze. Additionally, it's so easy to input items. There is no putting it off because it's too time consuming.

When viewing items from the folder view, it would be nice if the items individual value was also shown, not just the total value of inventory in that item entry. Additionally, I find History is not always accurate.

I searched through several inventory software programs and none were designed with the user in mind like Sorlty. The program and application are fast and intuitive!

The creation of an item is so easy to use. We were able to inventory over 14,000 items in a very short period of time. The offline function was so crucial to a remote 7 month project we had overseas.

The benefits that have been realized are the easy of knowing the quantity of inventory we have and having notifications sent when there is a low stock. Sortly was easy to implement throughout the organization as it has a very simple mobile app that all can use with ease.

Sortly has many features that simplify the management of inventory, one of the best features in the barcode scanner. This helps to simplify the movement of inventory. Sortly is also very simple to use for people who do not have a large knowledge of technology.

This was exactly the application that I needed when I started our Laboratory inventory system. It is easy for my staff to look up if we have any chemicals on site, and the ability to add custom fields and tags allows us to keep a list of all of our Hazardous materials and link the SDS(new MSDS) forms to the chemicals, as OSHA and other agencies require.

To be honest, it is 'dumb' software. It has a very basic structure that allowed us to fill in and sort things as we needed to without fighting against any templates or pre-designed structure that got in our way.
It is super easy to integrate the iOS/Android app as a barcode scanner, something that other inventory management software charges *thousands* of dollars for, as well as expensive hardware to use. Most of your employees already have cell phones, or can be issued ones for work easily.

It is not quite as intuitive of an interface as the design would lead you to expect. A few good video/YouTube tutorials would be helpful.
The team is still developing features as clients give them input, so things can change quickly. App does not always push to update versions and old versions can be out of synch with the database.
Uses Avery labels when I would prefer a zebra printer for printing labels.

Sometimes it doesn't sync across all devices. If you are logged in too long on one device, it does not operate as efficient. Overall it works pretty well for us being a small-medium business.

The sortly app is easy to use and flexible. This program saves us the cost of one full time employee with the reports we are able to generate. I also like that I am able to link existing bar-codes from my tool inventory.

I love how I can quickly pull up on my phone items that I have in SORTLY, know how much I paid for them, how many I have of them, how many of each size and even have a photo uploaded to know what it looks like. It makes my inventory of my dance costumes SO easy! I have even got a photo of what box and where the box is stored in my warehouse! It makes management of costumes and our hiring section of the business SO smooth!!!

Printing out the inventory in a larger scale has proved challenging, but we worked around that.

I liked that I was able to take pictures and scan the product into any folder. I liked that i was able to create as many folders as I needed.
I really liked the style and functionality of the app. It just didnt accomplish everything that my bosses needed.

I was not able to search through my items by quantity, I would like to know what I am out of so that I can restock what I do not have.

It would be nice to be able to communicate with the other users on the account. I pay for Users, and it would be nice to be able to message them about specific items arriving, through the same app. Maybe a notification system of some sort.

I also wish that it were easier to move items back and forth from folder to folder. It is not as user friendly as it should be when it comes to searching for the folder to move the item into. Specifically on the mobile app because when searching for the destination folder you have to click on just the arrows on the right hand side of the parent folder. Maybe implement a quick touch and a hold down action.

It would also be nice to be able to receive boxes and deliveries and be able to sort them into specific folders automatically, based on what is scanned. So predetermined folders.

I do like Sortly, but I'll probably look for something that fits my needs better and/or is more flexible once I have time to do the research.

The app is fast to use and fairly intuitive. Lots of flexibility with custom fields, tags, and more. Bar code generation and scanning is great.

In my opinion it's kind of expensive for what it does. There is an especially huge price jump if you need the ability to add attachments to files. Also, it is mostly set up for selling inventory, not for internal inventory organization. We use it to manage a large library of samples that we use for R&D, as well as renting and loaning out to colleagues. It's not set up especially well for the latter. If I want to "check out" a sample I have to make a folder for each person/company and move the item to that folder. And if I'm not careful, it leaves a listing in the old folder with a "0" quantity, which can get confusing. I wish there was a way to turn off quantities and treat every item as unique.

It makes tracking inventory so much easier, there are picture options too so when new staff come in...

It makes tracking inventory so much easier, there are picture options too so when new staff come in it's easier to get them trained up to know what things look like and where they need to be etc. Overall really great to use and easy enough to maintain.

It's really straight forward and easy to start using. Can do bulk import and export in order to make sure you're not wasting time inputting everything individually and the customer support team are very helpful and quick to get back to you when you need some help.

Puntos en contra

It can be a little daunting when you first start using it as you have to take the time to learn the system and then be prepared to make a few mistakes before getting it right but overall thats not a fault with the system just with the way it goes when setting up a new system.
