Overall I've had a wonderful experience with Thundertix. If I were running my own business this would be the first program I'd have in mind to utilize. The support/service team is excellent and I hope to maintain a good relationship with them.

Thundertix Is very customizable. My organization uses it for collecting payments for event tickets, intensives/workshops, and classes in our semesters. You can get the breakdown of each event easily and quickly which saves you times and shows you where to continue investing your time and products in. The interface is easy for clients to navigate and simple for staff members to learn how to utilize.

Functionality wise there are minor bumps in the road, but the support team is great with taking feedback, finding you an immediate solution, and taking your criticism into consideration for future updates.

I have enjoyed partnering with Thundertix over the last ten years. Of all the vendors I have used in my 29 years in this business, there are probably less than 5 that just "gets it", and Thundertix is one of those few. The product works better than advertised, the support has always been top-shelf, and everyone has always followed through on what has been said. That carries a lot of weight with me, and I would give my complete endorsement of the Thundertix brand to anyone that is looking for an event management and ticketing solution. The software is an IT Department dream come true -- something that works so well that you practically forget it is even there. If we ever decide to resume any form of entertainment series again, the Thundertix team will be my first call.

From the day we began searching for an event management solution, Thundertix quickly set themselves apart from the competition with simple business ideals that are lost in today's business environment. Timely communication, quick answers, and a quiet confidence of knowledge and expertise stood out to me. The product is clearly engineered from the beginning with the non-technical end-user in mind, as my users effortlessly began using the software to manage events and ticketing without a barrage of calls to IT Tech Support.

I am hard pressed to find something that I liked least about the Thundertix package. If there were ever any issues that came up, they were resolved so quickly that it didn't warrant enough merit to be remembered.

The excel sheets were hard to follow so I would just use the PDFs. I also didn't like that you couldn't delete files created by accident, or at least archive them.

Arliz, I'm not sure how I missed this review from five years ago, but I think you would be delighted by our new design. We relaunched in 2022 with a huge interface overhaul and lots of report customizations.
Hopefully, you've seen and agree that the changes have vastly improved our system making it one of the easiest professional platforms available.

I use ThunderTix as my online ticketing system for my annual events that do ~5,000+ in online...
I use ThunderTix as my online ticketing system for my annual events that do ~5,000+ in online transactions per event. I combine the online system with an Authorize.net gateway payment system. I have used 3 different online ticketing platforms in the past and NOTHING compares to the benefits of ThunderTix. You set it up and maintain it yourself, no waiting for your IT folks to do it for you (nor having to pay for their time), which also means you can change things on the fly as you need to, it integrates easily with Authorize.net (or other payment systems) and you get your money from sales in 1 day, and you just cannot beat their pricing!! And did I mention the excellent customer service? Not only is their online forum very helpful, but when I was in really dire need of real live help, I just emailed them and usually had an answer within a couple hours. All the way around, this software and this company are the BEST and I am so happy to have found them! Will be using this software from here on out!

We use ThunderTix for ticket sales to our one big fundraiser concert each year and it's easy to recreate the same event from year to year. We appreciate that we can reduce costs by going to the maintenance fee for the months we don't use the service.

We were able to set up thundertix in one day and have our entire season up and running, with ticket sales connected to our payment platform instantly. We were taking orders within 24 hours of signing up with Thundertix. The online tutorials are clear and easy to follow. Their customer support is lightening fast in responding. I email them at any hour, even on the weekends, and they return my email extremely fast. There are many ticket platforms out there, and we researched many of them, and tested some of the more popular options. All in all, thundertix has been well worth the cost. We have had ZERO downtime in selling our tickets. Once they are live, the thundertix platform has performed flawlessly. Also, the scanning app they provide is top notch. very fast and snappy. and the hardware they offer is another feature that we have enjoyed: pre-tested hardware integration with clear tutorials and immediate customer support. Just another example of how we have found the costs of the software well worth the benefits to our business. Couldn't be happier with our decision.

We love working with ThunderTix. ThunderTix has an amazing support system in place. It is like having another team member in the office that you can go to and say 'this isn't working for me, can you do something about it?' And they say Yes - And then they do it!! This past Friday I contacted ThunderTix Support with a feature request and they had it sorted out by the time I got back to the office on Monday. Their team truly listens to what their users want. It is as though we are building the software together. You can tell the people behind the program truly care about it and about our business. ThunderTix is not just a software program - it is a community.
ThunderTix is constantly adding features (requested and voted on by their users) to give more value to the product. I love opening up the program and learning about the features and tweaks other users want to see and then to watch as ThunderTix takes actions on making those changes and updates.
Specific features of the software we like include: selling gift certificates online, integration with our website and with others like mailchimp, donation options on checkout, coupons, and automatic emailing.
ThunderTix was very easy to learn and also very easy for me to then train others on. And whenever I get lost I know that their Support will respond to my emails within minutes. Literally minutes. That's what I like best about ThunderTix: knowing that they have my back.

Thundertix was easy to adopt because your Flexpass very closely resembled our season ticket process. So our audiences figured it out very quickly. Most of our patrons can use Thundertix without difficulty.

I still haven't figured out how to pull out reports on our clients to be able to set up databases outside of Thundertix to do comparative analysis with other information that we have gathered over lots of years.
Now that we are streaming, it would be nice to be able to connect with the streaming software so that we don't have to run two separate ticketing systems...one for in person and one for streaming.

Hi Stanley! I'm thrilled to hear our process resembled yours. We perform a lot of research to figure out how our clients are managing events in the real world. We then try to model our processes from that feedback. It feels great for both of us when we have a match.
On reports, we integrate with Zapier which integrates with thousands of other applications. Have you explored how you might use a "Zap" to build those insights? Don't hesitate to reach out to our support team if you have questions.
We also connect with Zoom in real time for webinars. Concerns around licensing and royalties causes video streaming to be a little muddy, so it's not something we're offering right now. However, that doesn't mean it's off the books! This is exactly the kind of research our team does to find those matched processes I mentioned. We were looking for a flexible ticketing solution for our First Big Off-Broadway show, and Telecharge, Ticketmaster, Criterion, VenueTix, AudienceView and others WOULDN'T work with us for we were unknown at this level or they wanted a 3 year contract. I contacted ThunderTix and they were amazing. One of the employees called me from her car to respond to my questions. Awesome. The Customer Service here is like no other company I have worked with in years. Fast, informative and KIND, so incredibly wonderful. Any problem I had with not understanding elements of the software, they would get back quickly and teach me what I was not understanding. FANTASTIC. We had NO TECH glitches with the software, ticketing was amazing, the Seat Map they made was perfect, it all work unbelievably well, I cannot thank them enough for supporting us with such professionalism and kindness. Work with ThunderTix. Don't pay the big bucks for poor support and an attitude. The ThunderTix software and support team are exceptional.

When we selected ThunderTix they were the only online ticket service that we could find that did not charge a 'per ticket service fee' to our customers. That model was vital to our selection as we do not believe online ticketing should be cost a premium over walk-ups.
We knew that ticket fees never come down at other online ticketing providers, with some now charging over 50% of the ticket face value as an additional fee (ex. $15/ticket + $8.15 service fee).
ThunderTix remains an ever-improving system that we continue to believe is the right model for online ticketing. Our patrons want the cost of ticketing to be part of our theatre operation cost.
We would love to see the company add CRM and e-mail marketing modules to the back-end to allow management of more than just our ticketing. Patron/donor/volunteer mgmt tools would be a plus for this product in the future to compete with other new CRM/ticketing solutions that are still adopting the per-ticket-service-fee model.

A lot has changed since 2011 -- In February 2014, ThunderTix rolled out a full CRM for patron management. It includes complete patron purchase history, donations management, robust filtering to report on multiple levels of customer data. All error messages that a patron might see during the purchase process have been modified, all order data saved on a declined transaction, and all fields with problems highlighted in red to make it very clear to the ticket buyer what needs to be completed and/or corrected. We moved over to the cloud in April of 2012 and since then have more than quadrupled speeds for page load time. ThunderTix is now in the 97th percentile of web-based software applications in terms of speed. This week, ThunderTix is going to be rolling out a direct email marketing tool that connects with MailChimp. Mailing lists are automatically updated with new subscribers direct from ThunderTix and emails to various lists can be directly emailed from within the ThunderTix login.

We use ThunderTix at our church to have parents register their children for Sunday Worship service(s). With COVID guidelines we feel this is a simpler way to meet social distancing and the cleaning factor of our computer KIOSKS. Both the pre school director and myself like knowing who will be in each service so that we can plan our teachers and class sizes. Parents have easily navigated our website to the link for ThunderTix and have been able to register their children.

I like that ThunderTix lets us imput dates and times for our events and services. I like receiving the email notice that someone has used ThunderTix. I like that we can make it cost nothing or something again based on our individual event. I appreciate the easy use for our families as they register their children for our Sunday Worship services. I like that parents are able to include a message in their reservation if needed.

When I change my setting from Public to Private I have noticed some of our parents still register their children for our Sunday Worship and they think I have received the notice when in fact I didn't because I changed the setting to Private. So, on a few Sundays I have missed some of the kids whose parents thought they were registered. To avoid this I have left the registration "open" but parents still think it closes at noon on Thursday.

I have a small business where I have to sell tickets online to reach my out of town customers. And...
I have a small business where I have to sell tickets online to reach my out of town customers. And being small, I need every dollar I can get to keep my tours going. I have been using other 3rd party ticketing sites, and I loose a lot of my profit to pay these big sites their 3+ percent fee for every ticket I sell. My tickets sell for $150+, loosing 3-4% of every tickets adds up quick and I got sick of it, searching for alternative. Then I found ThunderTix!! Hands down, ThunderTix beats all of those ticketing sites. I pay a annual flat rate fee, therefor I know exactly what my cost will be for ticketing. And when you break down the ThunderTix cost per ticket, we're talking pocket change per ticket! That means, I'm actually making money off of my tickets again!
But wait, there's more! I have full control of my ticketing options. I can upload my own logo design to every event. I can make my own color scheme for my invoices, that ThunderTix automatically sends to customers after a sale. I can add my own graphics on the "Print At Home" tickets that ThunderTix automatically attaches to the invoices. I can manually sell tickets on the phone if a customer calls me. The "I can's" can go on and on, you'll just need to sign up to see what I mean.
ThunderTix has a great shopping cart with a built in credit card transaction portal. No more adding ugly PAY HERE buttons on my website, I just enter my credit card company's info into the site and boom, I'm taking cards!! Everything on ThunderTix looks very professional to the consumer and is less hassle than those other sites. And customer service is A+++!!
My only con, is the coupon option. I only sell a limited number of tickets, so I am on the Starter Plan and I cannot offer coupon codes. Everyone likes to offer coupons codes to their customers, it would be nice to see the coupon option available for the Starter Plan subscribers as well.

ThunderTix has been the best decision we could have made! It is all easy to use, and the Support Team is quick to respond and meet your needs. They also are always taking suggestions from their customers about new features to introduce! (They even credit the customer when they do!) And the pricing is perfect for those of us who do not sell tickets year-round. You move to maintenance months/pricing until you are ready to sell again. This program has been easy to use since day one. Now we are beginning year four, and they introduce new features every year! It is easy to set up events and manage the behind the scenes of the software, and even easier to use it to sell tickets on location at our events, and it's the easiest to purchase them as a customer! Its a win for everyone! Reports are easy to run and are complete and customizable as to what information is included on them. And one of my favorite newer features is a daily email with total sales.

I really like it all! Possibly entering coupon codes had a bit of a learning curve to it, but I have it down now and it works like a charm.

It was very easy to integrate into our current websites and customisable to our use. It was refreshing to find a developer who allowed the customers to suggest improvements and we have seen it become far more customer friendly as it has evolved over the past 4 year

ThunderTix is critical to our venue. Selling seats that our customers get to choose ahead of time is vital. Guests don’t want to drive a long way and not have a seat that works for them. The customer support is superior.

We have music shows each Saturday from October through April and without ThunderTix we wouldn’t be able to do presale of seats. It is easy to use and any time I can’t figure something out or have an issue the support is fast, friendly, and easy to access. I wouldn’t change companies because I don’t think you can get better support anywhere else.

The software is easy to use. I would like to be able to sell product a little easier and set up a menu for our food sales -but as ticketing software it is top notch.

We made the right choice years ago and have been happy with ThunderTix. It fits our needs and is a value. I think there are many features we could use, but handle in other ways. The team has been great all these years!

Easy to log on and access data. Easy to export reports. Interfaces good via a web link. ThunderTix team is very responsive to questions and to try to accommodate unique situations. We hold 2-5 special events per year and have used ThunderTix for years. They continue to add new features. We are not your typical event venue, and ThunderTix fit us best.

Setting up an event can be a little tedious, you really need to focus especially with a multiple day event. And I admit, I do not use it as much as I used to as our team has grown, so I do get a little disoriented. I think it is because the software offers flexible options.

Hi Barb! You are correct in that we add a lot of new features. Our code is updated daily, so it can be a little disorienting when you come back after a hiatus.
But we are here for you! Our team will even hop on a Zoom call for one-on-one (or group) training, and that can be invaluable for those that want to make the most of all those new features.

There were some features in past that needed improvement but the company does listen to it's clients and generally fixes things upon demand of it's customers. The only thing left for them to do is to have more options for virtual ticket sales and integration.

Small Company with a Great Product

ThunderTix is a smaller ticketing company with a great product team! Being a smaller company, feature requests for new functionality are honored frequently and quickly. In addition to their standard support features, a Facebook group offers insights and a chance to chat with other users to see how they do things and what is working well in their organizations.

There isn't anything that comes to mind as a true "Con" to the software. There are some features we don't want our customers using, and we have found it easy to hide those features by using CSS.

Our community theatre needed a new ticketing solution, due to rising costs of our past provider. ThunderTix was recommended by a sister theatre in the area and, after completing a review process, we chose them as a new partner. The transition has been seamless on their end, and customer service has been exceptional when we made a mistake in a data file and everything had to be ripped out and reloaded. Set up of new events is intuitive and easy, whether the event is general admission, virtual, or in our reserved seating theatre space. The cost is lower than or previous partner and the software is more flexible. Reporting functions that we have used so far have been excellent.
